Enny Wokna sometimes steps into things by accident - into a puddle or into perceptions that catch her off guard. She plays, discovers, stumbles, doubts, and follows a longing for other places she must either find or create herself.
To explore these places, she works with simple materials: found objects, cardboard, sand, sugar, bone, or wood. With the right technique, she tries to knead existing orders until they stretch, break, or reassemble themselves - though some remain stubborn. And some things pass her by completely, as she remains caught in her own slightly naïve bubble.
Her curiosity about the world finds its closest home in what is called “art.” She began to love art, until she realized that you can also truly hate it - and perhaps should.
Alongside this, Enny Wokna gathers other nourishment for her perception: as a survival scout, she makes fire, builds shelters, withstands cold, and tests her limits. And as a teacher of art and philosophy, she prefers to further enigma­tize the world rather than pretend to explain it.
She wishes for more artistic collaboration with others outside the school as well - an open space she still has to practice creating.
